Emeraude Toubia

 Emeraude Toubia, born March 1, 1989 in Canada was an American model and actress. She portrayed Isabelle Lightwood on Freeform's fantasy series Shadowhunters. Toubia was born in Montreal. Her family was from Brownsville, Texas as an sole child. Mirta Sonia (nee Solis), her mother, was born in Ciudad Victoria and raised by her Lebanese-American father. Toubia's maternal grandparents were from Lebanon's Koura District. In 1999, Toubia was ten years old and made her first TV appearance in Televisa's El Mundo de los Ninos. In 2008, Toubia became well-known when she was chosen to take part in the second season of Univision's beauty pageant show Nuestra Belleza Latina. Here contestants were taught acting and dancing as well as presenting. Toubia was the first third place finisher. She has appeared in commercials for brands like Garnier, J. C. Penney and Sony since then.
