Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. When she was a kid, she listened to classical music and old Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a lover of the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to sing and play instruments as a child by her mother. She was given more formal training in singing in the year she turned 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The singer continued her education in the field of music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of numerous opera chamber and choruses. She was part of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the south of California. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in several community initiatives thanks to her passion as well as a love of music. Ana has been previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to share with others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations of musicians to keep the tradition alive.
